[He'd gotten the information on the device now, even if he was still wary of it. Anybody could of been listening in. He doesn't trust the voice feature too much, though. But he had to use it, to find out if his brothers were really in this village.]

Don, Raph? Are you guys out there?

[If this was voice, there would be a tinge of concern and worry, in his voice.]

[Leo standing, Raph on the couch, April on the floor. The distance between them is palpable and strange.]

[Don can only remain standing near Leo, and quietly ask:]

How did you find out about the war?

[Other than the fact that he's Leo, and absorbs information about battle as easily and mysteriously as Don learns about all things mechanical.]

Five months difference..great. It was August--close to September.

[So the days were getting a little cooler, but they were no where near what it was in Luceti. He was trying to ignore the war going on in his body. One part telling him he should be asleep since it's winter, the other saying he's fine because it wasn't that cold back home. He'll look to Don though.]

Someone pointed me to some kind of guide, that gave information and it mentioned the war and that people were being drafted into it.

[Even if he didn't know who had made it, it was helpful, and answered a lot of questions. He's still standing, just a little too keyed up to sit at the moment. He will sit eventually.]

[He nods.] I can't tell you much more about it. Even after being there, I'm not sure who we fought or why.

More or less. Anyone who wasn't us, we killed. [It's clear he doesn't feel good about this.]

Sounds like it was possibly a last minute thing thrown together then. [He's not liking the sound of it either. He says low to Don] Is that what happened to Raph's....wing?

[That snaps Raph out of his thoughts.] What're you, psychic now?

[He turned to eye his brother]

I take it by your reaction I must be right. Or close to it.

I just thought it might be the recruitment, because I don't think you'd be stupid enough to injure your wing.

[Not on purpose anyway. His look did soften a little though, hehad read what injuring them could do.]

[Raph pointedly turns away from that look. He doesn't need anybody's pity.]

[The look doesn't last long, he's soon schooling his features. He finally takes a seat though, and sips at his hot chocolate.]

[That was pretty harsh, Leo. Don can't help coming to Raph's defense.]

[Yeah, it was harsh, but he doesn't care so long as everyone just leaves it alone. Don playing the defensive is only going to drag it out, and Raph's getting more irritated by the second.]

I don't want to talk about this right now, all right?

[What else could he do? Not like he knew the circumstances. He looks up at Don as he provides a bit of an explanation and he pulls down the mug to sigh. He nods to Don, and then looks at Raph]

Fine...we won't talk about it. [But he's glad it was a wound gotten protecting one of his brothers.]

[This is so strange. After not seeing his brother for six months, Don feels like he has nothing to say to him. Something about that gives him a cold feeling in his stomach. He tries to drown it with another sip of hot chocolate. It only makes him feel worse.]

[Raph feels it too, but smothers it in his own stubborn ways. Anger is always safer than feeling anything else.

He occupies himself with glowering at the floor. He doesn't care. He's not ashamed. Everything's just peachy.]

[It's definitely strange. Also awkward. Leo will give a soft sigh, eying into his cup for a moment, before he looks back up to his brothers.

There's a part of him that feels guilty that he's not the Leo that Raph and Don remembers. But another part of him knows that he can't be that Leo, and shouldn't try to be him. But he could damn well still be their brother. If they let him.]

So...where will I be staying?
